Roy Jones Jr. comes to NYC on Tuesday for media workout and to officially announce undercard for Calzaghe vs. Jones which has a strong New York presence featuring Brooklyn’s Zab Judah, Dmitriy Salita and Francisco Figueroa from the Bronx.
Jones will meet with a select group of kids from the Children’s Village boxing program, a partner with the Garden of Dreams Foundation. Jones will talk about the importance of fitness and the discipline it takes to become a boxer as well as demonstrate his world-class work out tips to the children.

Calzaghe vs. Jones “ Battle of the Superpowers” is a 12-rounder for the Ring Magazine Light Heavyweight Championship belt. Promoted by Square Ring, Inc. and Calzaghe Promotions in association with Madison Square Garden , Calzaghe vs. Jones will take place November 8, and will be produced and distributed live by HBO Pay-Per-View, beginning at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT.
